RAFFLE LICENSES

Raffle Licenses – R.M. of Cornwallis

The R.M. of Cornwallis offers Raffle Licenses to eligible non-profit organizations located within the municipality to conduct fundraising raffles with a total prize value of up to $3,000.00.

Eligible Raffle Types

Organizations may apply for a municipal raffle license for fundraising events such as:

  • Chase-The-Ace

  • Chase-The-Jack

  • Meat Draws

  • 50/50 

  • Other similar raffle-style events

Not Eligible Under Municipal License

Please note that the municipal raffle license does NOT apply to:

  • Bingo events

  • Poker or other card-game fundraising events

  • Individual fundraising efforts (for example, weddings or personal causes)

These types of gaming licenses must be applied for through the Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Authority of Manitoba (LGCA).

How to Apply for a Municipal Raffle License

If your non-profit organization requires a raffle license, please complete the application form HERE.

Submit the first page only to the municipal office for signature by the Authorizing Agent. You may:

  • Drop it off in person

  • Email it

  • Mail it to the office

Once signed, you will receive a copy that will have your raffle license number on it. This number must be printed on your raffle tickets or clearly displayed at your event.
