Office of Drinking Water - Flood Subsidy Program - Spring/Summer 2026

In response to 2026 flooding, the Manitoba government, through the Office of Drinking Water (ODW), has temporarily increased the private well subsidy for flood-impacted well owners: 

• Flood-impacted wells: One free bacteriological test per private well from June 15 to August 31, 2026, through Duracan Lab (includes Total Coliform and E. coli). Verification of flood impact is required to qualify. Form is attached. 
• Routine testing (non-flood areas): One subsidized test per year at $17.67.
• Positive results: Include notification, guidance, and one free follow-up test
