2026 Municipal Election
CORNWALLIS Votes Oct 28
A general election in Manitoba Municipalities will be held on Wednesday October 28. Voters in the RM of Cornwallis will elect a Reeve and two Councillors from each of Ward One and Ward Two for a four-year term.
Voting will take place at The RM Municipal Office, The Brandon Gun Club and the Sprucewoods Community Hall From 8am to 8pm on Oct 28.
Advance Polls will be held Mon Oct 19 from 8am to 8pm and Sat Oct 24 from 10am to 4pm at the RM Municipal Office
**NEW** Voters will no longer need to vote at a designated polling place. All voting locations will process voters from either ward.

Candidate registration forms and nomination packages are available at the RM Office.
Final day to register is Sept 22. Nomination papers must be filed with the SEO starting Sept 16 and ending Sept 22 at 430 pm.
Voters may inquire with the SEO as to their inclusion on the voters list or to make additions or alterations.
A final registration opportunity will take place at the RM offices on Sept 10 from 10am -3pm. Voters will still be able to register to vote on election day with acceptable Identification.
