RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF CORNWALLIS PUBLIC HEARING Minutes of Public Hearings held in the Council Chambers of the Municipality on Tuesday, October 21, 2008. PRESENT: Reeve Reg Atkinson Councillor Emil Egert, Ward One Councillor Bob Brown, Ward Two Councillor Sam Hofer, Ward Three Councillor Heather Dalgleish, Ward Four Councillor Mike Cranford, Ward Five Councillor Val Thoman ADMINISTRATION PRESENT: Bob Wallis, CAO Susan Moore, Financial Assistant Public Hearings under the RM of Cornwallis Zoning By-law No.1558/09/99 as amended, were held for the following applications: 7:05 P.M. - Conditional Use Application No. C-11-08-C, being an application to allow for a non-farm dwelling in the "AG80" Agricultural General Zone at Pt. NW ¼ 13-9-19 WPM 7:10 P.M. - Application to Subdivide No 4116-08-392, SW ¼ 30-10-19 W, DeGobeo, being an application that will result in the creation of a new public road. IN THE MATTER OF THE CONDITIONAL USE ORDER APPLICATION NO. C-11-08-C Ms. Donna Thorne (on behalf of Roy Leitch) spoke in favour of his application. Mr. Dan McPherson, BAPD, was present to respond to inquiries. Conditional Use Order Application No. C-11-08-C was approved by Resolution No.357 /2008. IN THE MATTER OF THE SUBDIVISION APPLICATION NO. 4116-08-392 Mr. DeGobeo and his Engineer, Mr. Phil Dorn, both spoke in favour of the application and distributed a revised drawing of the subdivision as well as an email from David Hay, Supervisor, Nutrient Management Regulation for the Manitoba Water Stewardship stating that the subject property is not regarded to be within Nutrient Management Zone N4. Ms. Karen Johnston voiced her concerns regarding ground water quality & quantity but stated she was neither in favour or opposed to the application at this time. Mr. Doug Derksen spoke in opposition to the application and raised concerns about ground water quality & water supply. Mr. Dan McPherson, BAPD, was present to respond to inquiries. Subdivision Application No. 4116-08-392 was approved by Resolution No.358 /2008.
