The Brandon Adult Learning Centre (BALC) programming is designed for individuals who want to achieve a high school diploma in order to meet entrance requirements for post-secondary education or to increase their competitiveness in the labour force. Individuals who already have Grade 12, but need a different level of Mathematics,
Physics, English or other discipline, will also find programming to meet their needs. As part of the Mature Student High School diploma, students can take dual credit courses towards their high school diploma and credit in college courses. The centre is equipped with two computer labs, 33 computers and a wide range of software. In addition, all students are provided with access to both the internet and the computer labs at Assiniboine Community College. Counseling is available for course selection, career advice and personal matters. BALC students do not pay tuition fees, but do pay Student Association Fees.
